Our Story

I chose the name Neurodiverse Institute to reflect my vision of a space that brings together many supportive voices, offering holistic and affirming care for neurodivergent individuals. Right now, it’s me and a few incredibly gifted part-time practitioners. Join our membership, stick around, and grow with us—we’re just getting started, and we’re here to serve you. At its heart, this institute was founded by me as a MOM—those letters will always mean more to me than any credential and it is from my motherhood that Neurodiverse Institute was born.

WE BELIEVE IN

Holistic, Neuroaffirming Counseling & Support

At the heart of our counseling work is a neurodivergent-affirming approach that emphasizes understanding how your brain and nervous system navigate your world. Our approach is deeply collaborative, recognizing you as the expert on your life.

We draw from a trauma informed, integrative counseling framework, tailoring evidence-based therapies to your individual needs. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Family Systems Therapy (FST), and grounded in the Needs Connection Model (NCM).

We provide telehealth therapy, allowing you to engage in the therapeutic process from the comfort and convenience of your home.

The front step of our home displays a worn, hand-painted message that reflects the heart of our family: "You are seen, known, and loved in this place." It’s a sentiment I extend to every client I have the honor of working with. Supporting neurodivergent individuals is not just my profession—it’s my passion.

I’m still getting used to wearing dress clothes to work; I bring over 30 years of experience as a fitness instructor, teaching: Pilates, yoga, HIIT, dance, and Barre both locally in Boulder, Colorado and internationally through wellness retreats. I proudly developed brain/ balance mental health curricula for Boulder Valley schools, supporting the well-being of students and teachers alike.

I graduated with honors from Colorado Christian University with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, which is a big leap from the girl who almost failed High School due to undiagnosed ADHD. Now, as a provisionally licensed counselor, I approach therapy through a neuroaffirming lens, combining evidence-based mental health practices with my lifelong dedication to holistic wellness. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to thrive.

We work with an expanding team of trained professionals to provide Neurodivergent individuals support in all areas of wellness.
